My sister was born and raised in Sevastopol, Ukraine. While she was in college, she joined a Russian bride site with some of her friends. They thought it would be a fun way to spend some time together. They would travel to the dating agency together and look through profiles of eligible bachelors while having a good laugh. She never imagined she would actually find her husband this way, but she did! After living in America for a few years, she became addicted to reality shows. So much so that she actually auditioned to be on one about being a Russian mail order bride! I asked her why she would want her private life broadcast to the world. She said she didn’t care. She just wanted to be on television. The producers never did call her back though. I don’t think the show was even made because I haven’t heard anything else about it. My sister still dreams on being on TV so now she’s taking acting classes! Maybe she’ll land a role as a Russian spy!
